About VPS Commander
VPS Commander is a tool that allows you to control power virtually for your VPS from within Client Area. The control panel is located on the Product Detail page in Client Area of the Point Red website and lets you operate visually, by simply clicking on the buttons.
VPS Commander is available for Standard VPS, Super VPS, Max VPS, Mini VPS, DualCore-1, DualCore -2, and DualCore-4.
VPS Commander Functions
VPS Commander offers the following functions:
| Function | |
|---|---|
| Boot | The function starts up the VPS. You can activate VPS after you have shut down the VPS. (Note: Boot is available only when the VPS is not in operation”; clicking on the button while the VPS is running will not activate the function.) |
| Force Reboot | The function ends VPS operation and restarts VPS. Force Reboot forces the VPS to restart when the operating system is hung up or otherwise fails to respond and you cannot shut down the VPS by standard operation. The function operates as if forcing server power to shut down then restart. You can use Force Reboot when a problem occurs on your VPS and no other operation is possible. (Note: Force Reboot may result in data corruption or data loss. Also, the VPS may not restart as normal in some cases. If, after the operation, you are unable to communicate with the VPS, check Operation Status using the [Check Server Status] function in VPS Commander. If the VPS is “Not running”, press [Boot] to start up the VPS.) |
| Check Server Status | The function allows you to view the VPS operation status. The status will be shown as either “VPS is running” or “VPS is not running”. You can view the VPS status using the [Check Server Status] function in VPS Commander when you are remotely logged in or otherwise unable to view the status. The function allows you to see whether the power in the VPS environment is turned on or off. (Note: It will show “VPS is running” even if the operating system is hung up.) |
